Ok I must admit , I am pretty addicted to games. I never was before the advent of the computer but suddenly the compulsion to play various card, board and word games just got the better of me! I guess it started when I purchased a Hoyle game cd way back in 2005. It had puzzle and card games featured(was a good deal to boot, as it was TWO CD’s for $20. this provided H and I many hours of fun(still does)
It has the best versions of Mah Jong tiles, about four good word games and a mulititude of board games such as Backgammon, chess, checkers etc etc.
I never really learned the board games when growing up, and it was very enjoyable to go through the tutoring modes to learn the basics. I say BASICS as unfortunately the computer CHEATS!!!! Over and over I will be doing fairly well when the darned computer suddenly throws doubles many times in a row, (for backgammon) or else seemingly finds my loopholes to effectively checkmate me.
“sigh”
scrabulous
I am pretty good at the word games but it is far more fun playing with real opponents.
I have several scrabulous email games going with Heather and Teeni, and a mysterious person named Plato(could it be the reincarnation of that esteemed personage?) He/she is mysteriously mute, leaves no messages, but it is still enjoyable getting the email messages that plays have been made!
Having said all this, do check out “Scrabulous“

I may do a little post about this in the next couple of days as well but I will give you credit and link back to this post if that is okay with you? It’s just so fun we need to spread the word! heehee.
hey that would be VERY cool, teeni!
It IS so much fun!
I play Scrabulous ALL. DAY. LONG!! I play on Facebook though. I’ve played against the computer at Scrabulous.com but I’ve never played an email game. Perhaps I should give it a try??
That is hilarious, Hannah! It makes sense that we bloggers are word game fanatics..lol.

YES! We could even get a game going between you, me and teeni, if that sounds ok with both of you?
Oh, you never have to twist my arm to play a game! Especially with two of my favorite people!
LOL good!
Uh, hello. My name is Heather and I am a Scrabaholic.
*L*
I’m supporting an addict!!
Ack!
I fell asleep tonight with the kids and I woke wondering if I could play Lunar or not. You can see, I didn’t. But just the idea that that was on my brain the minute I opened my eyes if frightening!
LOL that is SO funny! It is taking over!!
I’m definitely keen to play a game of Scrabble with you & Teeni! Not sure what I’m supposed to do next though … do you need my email address? It’s han dot rob at maxnet dot co dot nz … I will wait for an email!
Ok I set it up but I couldn’t make the first play as I had NO vowels…lol!

It’s on it’s way to you Hannah!
