H went to his doctor today; just a normal appointment to get prescriptions renewed and to generally check that all was well.
Later this evening he confessed that he had noticed some blood when he wiped after going to the bathroom; “quite a lot, dripping,” he said.
Yikes.
He told me that it was light red not dark (scary but not as scary as it might be) and that it didn’t continue after a minute or two…
It could be a little fissure, or a little hemorrhoid , or it could be from his habit of sitting for quite a while on the loo, or from not drinking tons of water, or eating enough vegetables, etc.(at lunch time he is on his own, during the week and tends to peck away at small leftovers which often have no vegetables with them or else he has rather greasy chow mein which although it has bean sprouts it also has lots of oil)
He had a colonoscopy earlier this year and all was well so that is why I THINK it must be a tiny fissure or hemorrhoid, just being irritated at the surface..
Anyhow if it continues he is going back to the Dr..(why do these things pop up just before holidays)
