I have just gotten some of my fav loose tea(Christmas tea, they call it); only available at this time of year until sometime in January.
It is gorgeous; smells like a combo of orange(but REALLY lovely and fragrant oranges) with some spice, but the orange is predominant as it is NOT a chai. It also has a touch of vanilla tea so it tastes very smooth and comforting; exactly what one wants when it is cool and windy and the sun is NOTICEABLY disapearing earlier each afternoon.
Then I was browsing and found THIS intriguing object; a combination of a kettle AND a tea pot!
VERY pretty aren’t they!
“Winner of the 2009 World Kitchen Tea Off competition Vessel Ideation’s one teakettle is a single vessel “designed with both boiling and serving in mind”. Once filled with water and placed over the stove to heat, the graphics on the kettle’s side slowly appear (the graphics are applied with thermochromic inks). Once they fully appear the tea is ready. A magnetic trivet can then be attached to the bottom of the kettle so that it can be safely placed on a table. The magnetic trivet is heat activated, so it drops off once the kettle is cool.”
Seems like a fabulous idea!!!
