I have a webcam!

I am pretty excited, about this(old hat for everyone on the earth, I am sure) but I have a web cam! It is included with my Son Vaio computer and I had the hardest time trying to find out how to work it, until I was on YouTube and saw several people had posted experimental videos of THEM discovering THEIR Sony vaio cameras…lol!

It is shocking how UN photogenic I am; I look less beautiful than I fondly believe. (I am joking, but not about not being photogenic; I simply do NOT have the angular thinish faces that the cameras love.

No matter!

One day I will post a video and everyone can see who I am after all these years(blogging since 2007! Can it be???)

So keep posted, it may happen one day SOON!

LOTS of visitors

I am sure many would not believe me but I have been getting lot of visitors again.  Today I had 45 visitors and it was just a usual day; but the average has been about 60-70. Amazing.

No, I don’t get many commenters, because the average reader is accessing my blog through a blog reader, and will simply not have time to comment on all the post she/she reads.

I was going to try to save the stat chart to post on here, but as it is a flash application, it couldn’t be done.

I have noticed that the post most popular is this….

248 views alone for this one post.

Thank you visitors, but I would love a simple hello sometime!

Have a great weekend all!

I am still here

I was feeling annoyed a few days ago; hence the very brief evidence of my dissatisfaction.

I was thinking how very public these blogs are, aren’t they!

I was unwary in the first days of being a blogger. I think know that certain family members have knowledge of my blogs existence. Knowing them, it will be unlikely that they ever would visit after the first time but one never know.

Tons of stuff has been happening.

One is that H was recently diagnosed with Diabetes 2.

Now he is NOT overweight(as often goes hand in hand with this all too prevalent disease) NOR is he unfit.

It could be that stress has been a contributing factor(as I said TONS of stuff on my family’s side has been occurring) or it could be that he eats white rice before(and it is almost top of the high glycemic food list.

The good news is, he and I have totally eliminated all sugar from our diets (hadn’t realized how much sugars there were in certain fruits either)and are eating lots of vegetables and brown basmati rice

(which is delicious)

and lots more protein(as THAT is a good way of keeping blood sugars balanced.

He doesn’t have to take a pill(hopefully never) and is taking a chinese medicine that will help him balance the sugars as well)

He has a glucometer, and after the first stressful days, now is an old hat at using it, (but he only has to monitor about twice a week)

He and I also walk 6 times a week, for at least 30 to 45 minutes at a good pace.

His levels are ALREADY much lower..they are JUST about norma, so I am happy.

So that is part of the news..

Hope all are well..

new theme!

I have been monkeying with my blog(some may have noticed); cleaning it up, getting rid of old stuff and trying out different themes.

A change is as good as a rest!

(apparently THAT is an Arabian proverb; interesting!)

So I am trying this theme and you know, I quite like it!

It’s the new Bueno theme and has tons of customizable features; yeah!

I have readers, but no commenters…

Here is from the blog stats for yesterday(as an example)
