This was a funny day; the beginning was, anyway.
I had thought that it was H’s birthday, and was pestering him with requests of a desired itinerary(the birthday boy, after all) He was laconic(but also thought that it was his day)

It’s our Thanksgiving day today!
We are having a small dinner (had just asked H’s son and daughter in law) and suddenly thought to ask our very nice little tenant if she would like to join us.

H went to his doctor today; just a normal appointment to get prescriptions renewed and to generally check that all was well.
Later this evening he confessed that he had noticed some blood when he wiped after going to the bathroom; “quite a lot, dripping,” he said.
Yikes.
